Just a quick word to let you know that tuesday morning, october 17th, my wife Elise gave birth to our first child at 11h08 am, a little boy of 7 pound 9 oz and 51cm long: Felix  Perras. Mother and child are doing really, really great, and the father even more so!

Good ol’ nationals

June 27th, 2006

Hey everyone,

Well it’s been a little while since my last posting. I have actually missed Philly as i went home  early to undergo a bunch of medical tests, and found out that i had an intestinal virus. I took some medecine  to totally empty my stomach trying to get rid of the virus, and am feeling much better now. However, I have barely raced in a month, par Rochester twilight last week.

The latter race was held just beside the kodak headquarters, so the pressure was on. Dan Schmatz almost delivered the goods, with a strong 2nd place. As for me, I was happy just to be back with just decent legs enough to unleash the good old school fury.

Next saturday is the Canadian national championships in Quebec city. Obviously, I am really keen, especially in front of an home crowd as it’s been held outside Quebec for the last 8 year (yeah that’s how it works here, english canada is not quite “home” hahaha! just kidding ). Ever since I wore the jersey for the 2003/2004 season, it’s been an obsession to get it back. However, with my form (probably) not yet back at 100%, it’s going to take a bit of extra suffering, and a bit of luck.
Will keep you posted!
